Port City Homes can now be ENERGY STAR Certified; please ask for details. To earn the Energy Star Certification, a home must meet guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. We use energy efficient materials, construction processes and appliances which can save you hundreds on energy costs and make you eligible for Federal Tax Credits. ENERGY STAR distinguishes energy–efficient products which will pay you back in lower energy bills within a reasonable amount of time, even without a tax credit.

    We understand that selection of a community is a huge step in the new home process. We are building in some of the best communities in the Lowcountry, both in Charleston area and in the Myrtel Beach area. Charleston communities include Rivertowne, Brownswood Farms, Peerless Pointe and Hibben. Myrtle Beach communities include The Bays at Litchfield, Murrells Inlet and Myrtle Beach. These communities have great amenities- top schools, convenient shopping, tons of recreation opportunities, and easy access to commuter roads.

    Floor Plans

    After you have narrowed down the communities of interest, it’s time to refine your thinking about what’s going to be in your new house. A good way to work through this process of making trade-offs is to look at some of our floor plans. These floor plans provide total square footage, rendering of the front elevation of the house, renderings of the some interior rooms, and overall layout of each floor and area of the house. This is a quick way to help you determine if your living pattern can map onto a base home that we have. From one or more of the base homes, then we can discuss options for customizing the base model to suit your needs.

    Model Homes

    With an idea of community and general style of home that you desire, it’s definitely time for you to zero in on which features you will want in your home. A great way to do this is to visit model homes, viewing them and walking through them to see how they fit. We have model homes in most of our communities and often have homes under construction that you can tour with us. The Bays of Litchfield, where we’re currently building has a single-family model home for you to visit, with a PCH Special Floor Plan with over 2000 sf ENERGY STAR Rated. This model includes 9 Foot Ceilings – Solid Wood Doors – a custom Lighting Package, as well as a Finished Garage.
