Step 1 “Welcome to the Neighborhood”

Port City Homes meets with you so that we can listen to what you are passionate about in a home, and the area that you would like to live. From your description, we identify the neighborhoods and home models that most closely match your requirements.

We encourage you to visit neighborhoods at various times of day, and observe the activity – asking questions like:

  • Does this neighborhood offer the amenities our family needs, such as pool, tennis, golf?
  • What schools do children in this neighborhood attend?
  • Are area amenities that are important to us close by, such as grocery stores, churches, recreation?

Step 2 “The details make the difference”

(Frank Betz logo) After you have narrowed down the neighborhoods of interest, it’s time to refine your thinking about what’s going to be in your new home. We offer a library of home plans that can be customized to fit the way your family lives. Or, bring us your plan and let us help bring your vision to reality!  Our team will facilitate the architectural process, permitting approvals and coordinate with neighborhood ARB’s.

After you have decided on a home that works best for your family, Port City Homes begins the design / build process. We start with detailing your home’s structural details, orientation on the lot, and mechanical systems.  Our talented team will guide you through the interior selection process, and you will meet with some of the area’s best designers and trade partners.  This allows you to put your personal stamp on your home, from custom cabinets and flooring, to trim details and fixtures.  Typical builds time is 6 to 12 months, and will vary depending on the specific items that you want in your home.  We will be there during every phase of construction as we team with you to bring your home to life.

Step 3 “Time to settle in”

Once you take ownership, we start our warranty period; this warranty is to insure that you are satisfied with your home for many, many years to come.
